I made love to a dinosaur and it was velocirapturous.
So it looks like I’ve been gushing Nostradamus like nuggets of truth that 2012 is THE YEAR for nostalgic hardcore & emo bands to reunite.
It’s true, I have been saying that.
Last year we saw Braid & The Promise Ring reform and The Jealous Sound got back in the studio, admittedly bands like those will NEVER get covered by mainstream alternative press - and yes, it does make me feel special and happy to know that my heroes will struggle their whole lives and probably never get any recognition - I’m not perfect.
Its only January and already At The Drive In & Refused have announced that they’re on the way back too, I wonder who else is next? Lets just hope the Post Hardcores get all the popularity and leave the lovely little emo’s alone… I mean I heard Braid were on 6 music recently and I felt like I’d been kicked in the pussy.
